Happy ISD receives recognition from TEA

Happy Independent School District received recognition for two campuses earning Reward Recognition from the Texas Education Agency.  Happy Elementary earned the High Progress recognition while Happy High School earned High Progress and High Performing.  To receive the High Performing recognition, a campus must be a Title 1 campus receiving distinction designations based on math and reading performance on the STAAR testsand has a graduation rate greater than 90%.  The High Progress rates is for Title 1 campuses in the top 25% in annual improvement or in the top 25% of schools closing performance gaps based on the system safeguards. 

Happy Elementary was one of only 27 campuses in Region 16 receiving the High Progress award.  Happy High School was one of only 11 campuses in Region 16 that received both the High Progress and High Performing awards.Happy Independent School District is working hard to exceed state standards and continues to strive to be the school of choice for students and families in the area.  If you are interested in learning more of the recognitions received by the Happy ISD campuses, please contact a school administrator.  We are excited to relay the successes achieved by Happy ISD students, staff, and parents!
