On December 18, 2015, at the Happy High School gym, the wax museum came to fruition.  It was the last day before winter break and I was Thomas Edison. I learned a lot about Thomas Edison and I liked some of his quotes.  He invented the light bulb.   All of the students in grades 3rd – 6th participated in the museum.

The day began when students were getting ready.  We gather in Mrs. White’s classroom with our costumes on.  It was torture waiting for everyone to arrive!  When most of the students were at school, we headed for the big gym at the high school.  When we got to the high school to set up, people were already sitting in the stands.

When it was time to begin, Kason announced the beginning of the program and gave instructions.  Many people came to see the program.  All of the younger students came to see it also.  I had to say my speech a lot.  I even remember it now.

The wax museum looked almost like a museum; the wax figures in front of their descriptions, pictures and quotes.  Gus was Sam Adams.  He said he liked it.  Jamison was Colin Powell.  He thought the program was entertaining.  We selected our characters by drawing names from a bucket.  The wax museum allowed each of us to learning something different and cool.
