It was finally here, time to show my pig.  I had to feed him a lot, then I got to take a nap.  I feed my pig Lenders Feed and Oats.  After that, I had to clean out his feeder.  Following a delicious breakfast, I cleaned the pig pen.  I use a little scoop and a shovel when I clean out the pen.  After cleaning out the pen, it was time for the show to begin – with goats!  I watched to whole show.  When I went back to the pig pens, I had to clean the pen, again. Next, I brushed my pig and got me ready.  I use a stiff horse hair brush on my pig, but not on me!  I was in class 24, I did not think it would ever be time!

I walked into the ring, I looked at the judge, the judge looked at me.  I got 1st.  Then I earned Breed Champion Poland.  A Poland is a black and white pig with floppy ears.  I was so happy and so was my dad.  I drove my pig again for Grand and Reserve Grand but I did not place.  It was a long day before I was able to pack up and leave for the day.

Although show day is always a lot of work, the project begins way before then.  I brushed my pig and walked him every day and fed him twice each day.  Show season is a great season!
