Follow the Rules

Story image 1_0

Rules are an important and ever present part of life.  Although a simplified statement might be, “Follow the rules or go to jail,” the truth is rules change as we get older.  At home, I must clean my room or I cannot play on my phone.  If I do not eat all of my supper, I do not get to ride my bicycle.   There are some rules that are for home, school and the community.  One of these is that we are not supposed to beat anyone up.

There are also rules at school.  Although school is fun, you must work hard to make good grades.  Students who do not do their homework do not make good grades and have to be in detention.

Breaking the speed limit is not following the rules of the city or state.  If you go over the speed limit, you will get pulled over.  You must also stop at stop signs.  You need to be safe when you drive so follow the rules.  If you follow rules, you will not go to jail.
