September 22, 2015

The sixth grade students at Happy Elementary gathered prior to the first day of school to plan the school-wide welcome.  The 24 students have made service their focus for the school year and created a positive environment in which all students and staff can flourish.  The sixth graders choreographed some moves to the Super Hero song, “Believe it or Not”, they offered advice to the student body and have taken several leadership roles.

The advice offered was quite positive and encouraging:

Emily says, “Always be the best you can be.”

Ashlyn tells the students to “Be positive”.

Hannah wants students to remember “Believe you can do it.”

Aimee advises students to “Always speak positive words.”

Daisy tells others to “Work your hardest and don’t give up.”

Bailee encourages students to “Be yourself.”

T.S. states, “If you think you can, you can.”

“Be the person who makes the change,” says Dario and Sydni states, “Be a superhero!”

The sixth graders are also serving as leaders during intervention time, helping younger students and their teachers achieve their goals.  Happy Elementary is proud of the 6th grade leaders!  We believe the students will be amazing, productive citizens of our world.
