4^th Grade Spelling, Vocabulary, and Homework

AR Information

AR goal for Sept. 24-28 is 84%. Your student will reach his/her 5^th week goal with 84%.

The 3^rd graders took the test over Superfudge by Judy Blume. They did a wonderful job! I was proud of them. This test helped many of the students reach 100% of their AR goal. If your student has reached his/her AR goal, please encourage him/her to continue to read. I have set a new goal for those who have reached their 100% AR goal. If any student makes 200% of their goal, they are rewarded by making the candy bar club and placed in the 3^rd grade wall of fame.

The 4^th graders took a test over Skinnybones by Barbara Park. They did a super job! I was proud of them. This test helped many of the students reach their weekly goal.

Parents-Be looking for the 3^rd and 4^th grade students’ reading journals over Superfudge and Skinnybones. These journals will show you what reading activities we have been doing in class with the chapter books. Also, we will begin reading projects over these chapter books. The project will be over your student’s favorite character.

Upcoming chapter books:

3^rd Grade- Donavan’s Word Jar- We will cover all of the Obj. 1 TAKS skills through this book.

4^th Grade- When Zackery Beaver Came to Town- We will cover many reading and writing skills- We will focus on letter writing.
